Three Activities Camping Adventure

ITINERARY

DAY 1

PIVA LAKE CRUISING

Join us for cruising over the smooth, green, and blue water of Piva Lake. Our boat, like a small house, will sail and roll from one bay to another, always looking for the most beautiful place.

Meet your Captain at 12.00 am in the Restaurant Lake in Pluzine, the smallest and youngest Montenegrin municipality. Refresh yourself and we'll start cruising through the emerald-green water of the grandiose Piva Lake. Our first stop will be in the Cave Oteša – a well-known tourist site reachable only by boat.

The next stop is Podvođe – an armband of the lake with clear green-blue values where we will take a break and enjoy swimming. The cruising continues towards the excursion site "Kućarište", and visit the island Gradac and many other beautiful spots you like on our way back to the dock Rosulje. This area is known for the beautiful sights of the stone cliffs where one can find golden eagles’ nests and chamois.

Chill out by the lake, swim, and sunbathe and whenever you like, just pop up in the Restaurant Lake and order a lunch of your choice. If you prefer kayaking or canoeing, just inform us on time and we'll prepare everything you need for a more active day on the lake. While you are in Pluzine we suggest taking the opportunity to try the longest zipline in Montenegro. The total length of the Zip Line is 1400 meters and the maximum speed of the flight is 65 km/h.

Continue your travel for 20 km to the Waterfall Rafting Campsite. Set up your camping equipment and enjoy the untouched nature.

8.00 – 9.30 pm - Dinner time - Your day in the sun winds down with freshly grilled local specialties cevapi, pljeskavica, raznjici, musaka or different kinds of pasta with veggies or mushrooms, fresh cheeses, rice, and chips, while fresh salads and pastries complement the menu. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and eat…

Chill out, and enjoy relaxing music next to the crackling campfire.

If you would like to make a barbeque for your family, please report it to our Camp Manager on time and we will provide delicious, organic fresh meat and vegetable, and bread for you.

Overnight stay under the stars.

DAY 2

TARA RIVER RAFTING

Raft Trip on the Tara River Winds its way through 18 fun-filled kilometers of beautiful scenery and tumbling white-water on the most exciting rapids from Brstanovica to Scepan Polje.

09.00 – 10.30 am – Enjoy delicious breakfast in our Restaurant, as preparations for rafting start at 11.00 and you will be fitted with wetsuits and booties, life jackets, and a helmet. The adventure continues with a short but scenic shuttle ride to our launching point.

12:00 - After the trip briefing held by your river it’s time to grab a paddle and get on your raft and onto the river for a day of fun, laughter, excitement, and lots of exhilarating whitewater. The first rapids you’ll encounter are smaller but spirited and will allow you to practice your new paddling skills, and get ready for the most attractive rapids on the Tara River (Pines, Ward, Cells, Vjernovića buk ...). We will make breaks on the most interesting spots for viewing, and camera shooting, and of course, swimming for the bravest ones.

16.00h –Your rafting trip ends on Šćepan Polje. Having in mind that you get starving after all-day activities, our chef always prepares opulent lunch starting with delicious soups or cream soups, and excellent quality meat (lamb, veal, chicken, trout, or pork) to delicious various pasta chocked full of fresh veggies and spiced with various herbs. Whenever possible and practical we buy fresh products from known local farmers and households. Enjoy your lunch under the shade of a beech tree exchanging stories of the day so far…

At the Waterfall Rafting Centre, you can enjoy free time walking, sunbathing, or playing different social games until we serve a delicious healthy dinner that will satisfy even the heartiest appetite. Spend the rest of the evening catching up with fellow rafters and meeting new people. Lounge around your campfire before retiring for the night.

DAY 3

HORSEBACK RIDING ON TRSA

Saddle up and begin your adventure searching for the best view and majestic scenery of incredible surroundings from the Village Trsa to the viewpoint of the Canyon Susica.

Your third day of adventure begins at 9:00 am with a hearty breakfast before taking about 40 minutes to drive to the Village Trsa (1.450 m) where our horseback riding tour starts. This area is a real paradise for horse riding and wherever you look, the stunning landscape will leave you speechless.

Depending on your riding skills, our young but experienced guide can provide basic riding techniques, or simply ride with you showing you the best viewpoints if you are an experienced rider. The trip includes 2 hours of riding, but if you would like to do some extra riding, please inform us on time, and we will organize an extra hour for just 10 Eur.

You can finish the trip with a good lunch of your choice in the Ethno Restaurant Trsa or return for lunch in the Waterfall Restaurant. If you would like to visit Zabljak, the main tourist center in northern Montenegro, we can organize your lunch in the Ethno restaurant in the city center.

You'll leave with memories of the beautiful scenery and thrilling white water rapids, feeling fully relaxed and invigorated, and quality time spent with family and friends wanting to come back again.

The total trip price is 210 per person.

FAQ

You’ve got questions and we’ve got answers. Take a look at the most commonly asked questions that we receive from our guests. If you don’t see an answer to the question feel free to give us a call via Viber, WhatsApp, or Messenger at +382 69 310 848 or email us at [email protected]

WILL I GET WET?

Yes – but you will be in a wetsuit and booties. White water rafting is a great activity for rainy days as you are going to be wet anyway!

WHAT SHOES SHOULD I WEAR?

We provide complete and professional rafting equipment including wetsuits and booties, life jackets and helmets, as well as anoraks for rainy occasions. So you can wear your normal shoes and clothes to get to the rafting base.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

You should bring a swimming suit and suntan lotion, sunglasses and warm clothes for chilly evenings next to the campfire if staying overnight in the Waterfall Center.

DO I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SWIM?

In the springtime when the river is high, it is recommended that you be able to swim. In the summertime when the river is lower you do not have to be a swimmer at all. Just make sure to let your guide know of your comfort level and swimming ability. Anyway, safety west is obligatory and you should follow instructions provided by the river guide. No one falls down from the boat, unless by purpose.

DO PEOPLE FALL OUT OF THE BOAT?

We take your safety seriously. Every trip starts with a full safety briefing and paddle instruction. Our boats are equipped with perimeter and center lines to give you ample places to hang on and stay in the boat. There is some risk in whitewater rafting, however, but it is rare that people fall out of the boat. In the case that they do – they are retrieved quickly using the drills that are taught in the safety briefing. In the spring with the higher water levels, there is a greater potential for things to happen. High water is definitely not for everyone.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

Our trips leave as scheduled, rain, or shine. In the event of extreme weather conditions, we do reserve the right to alter your trip.

WHEN RAFTING SEASON STARTS?

Our season starts 1st of May and runs till October 1st. May and early June are defined by higher water flows and attract more adventuresome groups. In July and August water levels typically drop and conditions become perfect for younger families and multi-generational groups.

WHAT ARE THE AGE LIMITS FOR RAFTING?

We encourage everyone, young and old, fit or a couch potato, to experience the fun of white water rafting and hope that you will learn to love this sport as much as we do. From July – October, we hosted children 4 years old but also people in the late seventies.

WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON RAFTING BEFORE?

Most of our guests have never been on rafting before. All our trips are adapted for newcomers.

IS RAFTING SAFE ADVENTURE?

We are proud to be one of the pioneers of Rafting on the Tara River. Since 2000, our skippers have rafted with over 50 000 guests with not a single accident. Rafting is thrilling, exciting, wet, wild, and unbelievably fun. However, as with all adventure sports, there is inherent...

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES?

All Taxes and River Access fees are included in our base price. Rafting guides and waiters gratuities are not included in the trip price and are greatly appreciated.

DO YOU OFFER GROUP DISCOUNTS?

Of course, when it comes to rafting the Tara River, the more people you bring the more fun you will have! We offer some of the best group discounts on the river! Please check out our Groups page for more information.

CAN I BRING MY CAMERA?

We recommend that cameras are left behind at the Waterfall center as we cannot guarantee their safety against damage even if waterproof. However, if you would still like to take a camera on the rafting trip, we have waterproof safety bags on every raft where you can store them during the rapids and use them during breaks.

CAN I WEAR SUNGLASSES/ PRESCRIPTION GLASSES OR CONTACT LENSES?

Yes, you can, however, we do recommend a sports strap or tie for glasses. Once again remember we can’t guarantee the safety of your glasses. So if you can do it without it then do.

HOW MANY PEOPLE GO IN A RAFT?

All of our rafts can comfortably accommodate 8 guests + river guide.

ARE GRATUITIES ACCEPTABLE?

Absolutely. If your guides contributed to your enjoyment of the day please give them a tip!  Gratuities for guides are acceptable and greatly appreciated. And we’d love to hear about it as well. Our guides are some of the most important people of our staff and we want to know when they are doing a great job.

CAN WE PURCHASE SOUVENIRS?

Absolutely! We have a Gift shop stocked with a wide variety of specially designed T-shirts, rucksacks, hats, etc….come on in!

ARE RESERVATIONS REQUIRED?

Yes. Reservations are required and a 20% advance payment must be received prior to the date of your adventure. Same-day reservations are accepted based on availability, so please book online or send us an email.

WHAT SETS WATERFALL RAFTING CENTER APART FROM THE REST?

Everything! This might sound like a bold statement, but we encourage you to do some research on other outfitters in the Tara River Canyon and throughout the region.
